Hell No!

My fellow Americans, we pay 6.2% of every paycheck into Social Security and 2.9% to Medicare for these "entitlement." To qualify to get the Medicare we paid into, we have to contribute for a minimum of 10 years. Congress can "pay" for government health plans after they leave office, but taxpayers paid 75% of their health insurance while they were in office AND the salaries from which they paid the other 25% comes from our tax dollars. Therefore, WE the TAXPAYERS pay 100% of Congress Members benefits. And they only have to serve 5 years to qualify for THEIR ENTITLEMENTS (HALF the time that we have to pay in to collect our benefits)! And THEY want to take what WE THE PEOPLE have paid for our own Social Security and Medicare away from us? Really?!?!

HELL NO!

To make it worse, I make 17% of congress members $174,000 annual salary. With $144,000 more they make from my tax dollars, maybe they could be a little less stingy in letting me keep the benefits I paid for with my tiny income. After all, benefits for public servants were originally increased to help attract talented individuals to public service because making so much less than they could in the general market. These benefits were not meant to make public servants earn 60% more than the average American ($51,759) they were elected to serve. But instead of serving the Americans who elected them, they serve the few even wealthier people who pay to keep getting them elected. And they want to take even more of our limited incomes away from us. Really?!?!?!

HELL NO!

While we are angry, we can't be angry at members of congress who we don't like because they get their entitlements. ALL members of congress get these entitlements that WE THE PEOPLE paid for them. As long as they are collecting THEIR ENTITLEMENTS, then they shouldn't be allowed to kill programs WE THE PEOPLE have paid for. The Social Security and Medicare benefits that we have PAID for ourselves are NOT ENTITLEMENTS. Social Security and Medicare are government forced savings accounts that we may see refunded to us on a monthly basis, as long as we have paid into it for enough years and lived long enough to collect. Really?!?!?!?!

HELL NO!

Some are trying to sell this as a "privatized" system that will be better for us. Isn't that what 401K was meant to be, a form of privatized pension versus a company pension? How many people lost most or all of their 401K when the stock market plummeted? We all know someone that happened to, if not ourselves. This is the same type of system congress wants to put all of our Medicare and Social Security dollars into with the same people in charge! Really?!?!?!?!?!

HELL NO!
